This internship is an opportunity to integrate the knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skill development in a professional setting. Working side by side with experienced employees, interns will be involved in real projects and be given significant, meaningful work to perform. Students electing the Instrumentation coursework will develop a background in pneumatic, process and electronic control systems. Students electing the Industrial Maintenance area will acquire skills related to Industrial Equipment, Fluid Power and Piping Systems.
Additionally, each series of classes can be applied towards a future certificate program or towards earning an Associates degree at Joliet Junior College (JJC).
The training and knowledge acquired in these courses will equip successful students with the basic skills needed to qualify for some of the best career opportunities available in Will County and the surrounding area. Entry level technicians can expect to earn $60,000+ per year with overtime, and experienced personnel average over $85,000 per year, with excellent benefits.
