All courses are either instructor led or designed for individual interaction through computer based training sessions. Pre-registration is required to attend any training.
Computer based self-study (CBT).Valid State or Government issued ID required at registration. The PRB Coal Users’ Group presents Combustible Dust Awareness for Coal. This course teaches coal characteristics, coal and coal dust hazards, housekeeping methods and ways to protect yourself from identified coal dust hazards through a combination of interactive exercises and teachable moments, as well as traditional learning methods. Interactive exercises present situational hazards and provide the student the opportunity to select the appropriate action to take in such situations, while teachable moments present real-life events that have taken place and the resulting changes that have been implemented throughout the coal industry as a result of these events.
Multimedia courses are self-paced and trainees may start any time between 6:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
