retake questions missed immediately. If 80% is not attained,
the company/union hall may re-register the student for
the next available class. The retake policy is the same
on the second day. Failure on the second class day results
in the student having to wait 1 year**.

may NOT retake any questions that day. The company/union
hall may re-register the student for one more attempt
at the class any time during the next calendar year.

The company/union hall may register the student for
the next available Contractor Safety Orientation (Course
|All Computer Based
Site-Specific Training (CBT)
The same day "second chance"
is built into the CBT. When a student misses a question
during the CBT, they are taken back to the area of the
CBT which covered that topic for remediation. They are
then given a second chance at the same question. If they
miss the question the second time, the computer tells
them that they missed and moves ahead. Instructors are
available to answer questions while the students are taking
the CBT module. The final CBT score is based on the number
of questions asked (usually not more than 25 questions.)
<80% = The company/union hall

session. A score of less than 80% on the second day
means that the student may NOT retake during the next

The courses are intended to be a review of material that is judged by the manufacturers as important for everyone to know to ensure the safety and health of all employees, visitors and contractors.
** Students who fail the class on two separate class days will not be allowed to take the course for one year unless proof of remedial assistance is presented.
